A MAN tried to get cash out of a care home worker claiming he had lost his wallet.
He had knocked on the door of Avondene Care Home in Stanpit claiming he was stuck in Christchurch with his elderly parents and needed £40 for petrol to get him back to Coventry.
The incident happened at around 10.10pm on Thursday (FEB 2).
The staff worker didn't see a vehicle and told him to leave without giving him any money.
The man was in his 50s with grey hair, approximately 5ft 9ins, of plump build wearing a black or navy Berghaus sweatshirt.
A man of a similar description was reported trying to get some money out of a woman in Russell Drive around four months ago.
