A MAN and woman arrested after the attempted robbery of a man outside a Bournemouth bar have been released without charge.

A 48-year-old man was reported to have been targeted by a group of people outside Vodka Revolutions in Old Christchurch Road in the early hours of Sunday August 7.

Police said the man, from Surrey, was followed to nearby Walkabout at around 2.45am where the group tried to steal valuable items from the back pocket of his trousers.

The victim sustained minor injuries, including bruising to his right eye and body.

A 36-year-old man of no fixed abode and a 29-year-old woman from Bournemouth who were arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery have been released without charge.
