CAMERA gear and a safe containing thousands of pounds were stolen from a parked car earlier this month.
Thieves raided a vehicle left in a private car park near Nether Compton, near Sherborne, sometime between 7pm on Monday, December 19 and 8am the following day.
A black Nikon camera lens, a black Nikon 1970s 58mm F1.2 lens, a black Nikon 14-24mm 2.8 lens, a black Nikon 85mm 1.4 lens, a black Casio EJ LED projector in a black case, an iPhone 6s and an iPhone 5s were stolen.
The total value of the items is estimated to be around £8,500.
A Chub Omega deposit safe containing £2,700 in cash was also stolen.
Offenders broke into the car park by cutting a gate lock with bolt croppers.
They then damaged a lock to get into the vehicle.
