Detectives investigating fraud offences at banks in Bournemouth have issued CCTV images of a woman.

On the afternoon of Thursday June 16 a woman entered Natwest Bank in The Square in the town and cashed fraudulent cheques.

Enquiries revealed that the same woman had tried to bank a cheque at the Natwest branch in Poole Road in Westbourne but was unsuccessful when challenged by a member of staff.

The cheques belonged to a funeral director based in Kent who has had fraudulent cheques for his company cashed in London, Bournemouth and Brighton.

Police Constable Martin Brown, of Bournemouth police, said: “As part of my investigation I am now in a position to issue CCTV images of the suspect in this case.

“I would urge anyone who recognises this woman to please contact Dorset Police urgently.”
