AN EX-POLICE officer has been jailed for four years after being convicted of knocking a man unconscious and smashing his jaw in Poole.

David Scott, 47, had denied causing grievous bodily harm with intent but was found guilty by jurors following a trial at Bournemouth Crown Court.

The trial marked the latest conviction for Scott, who was jailed for 12 years in 2006 for drugging and sexually abusing a 15-year-old schoolgirl and a 23-year-old woman.

Scott, who lived in Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth, at the time was described as a “very dangerous man” by police and a judge said his behaviour was “deviant”.

The former Bournemouth club doorman was serving as a policeman in Surrey at the time of the offences and was described in court as man “with a deviant mind who had lived out his darkest fantasies and had ruined his victims’ lives.”

In the latest case Scott and his daughter, 25-year-old Amelia Scott, were both accused of causing Michael Donnellan grievous bodily harm with intent during an altercation at Old Orchard in Poole on June 27 last year.

Amelia Scott, of Stourcliffe Avenue in Bournemouth, was found not guilty.

The court was told the pair had been celebrating Scott’s birthday and had gone for drinks at Poole Quay.

On their way home they came across Mr Donnellan, who was arguing with his girlfriend and had allegedly slapped her.

The jury was told Amelia Scott stepped in to help Mr Donnellan’s girlfriend and was herself grabbed by the neck. Her father than attacked Mr Donnellan, causing serious injuries.

Mr Donnellan told the court he spent three days in hospital and had four metal plates implanted into his face. The 52-year-old said he has no feeling in his upper jaw and only limited senses of taste and smell.

Scott, who lives in Winchester, was jailed for four years and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £120.
