TWO men have been arrested following a “large disturbance” between two groups of people in Wareham.

Police were called to South Street after receiving numerous reports of a disturbance at around 11pm on Sunday.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said two victims were known to have sustained minor facial injuries following an alleged assault.

Nobody was taken to hospital.

“Police attended South Street in Wareham following several calls reporting a large disturbance taking place,” the spokesperson confirmed.

“Two men, aged 21 and from the local area, were arrested on suspicion of assault following an alleged altercation.”
