POLICE have released CCTV of a key witness they want to speak to after a man died following an alleged attack at Rockley Park.

Officers were called to the holiday park in Napier Road at 1.04am on Sunday, May 8, following reports of an assault.

A 64-year-old man from Poole sustained a life-threatening injury and was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.

The man – named by detectives as Kenneth David Dickie – died in hospital on Saturday May 14.

DS Andy Haworth, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I am now releasing CCTV images of a man I would like to speak to who we believe may have witnessed the incident.

"I believe he may hold key information that can assist with my investigation and I would ask the man to contact police urgently.

"Anyone who is able to identify the man should contact me on 101 or anonymously call Crimestoppers.

"I know that there were a number of other people who were in the area at the time and I would ask anyone who witnessed an alleged altercation either in the Harbour View area or outside the showbar to please call me.

"Finally, I would also ask that anyone who was staying in the park at the time of the incident and has any information that may be of relevance to get in contact."

A 34-year-old man from Poole has been charged with committing grievous bodily harm and is next due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday June 9.

A 57-year-old woman from Poole was arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm and perverting the course of justice and has been released on police bail until the middle of July pending further enquiries.
