Burton: Three addresses in Moorcroft Avenue were targeted by thieves on the evening of April 30. The burglars broke through a rear door of one house before using the key in the back door to get inside. Tool marks were spotted on the windows of two further properties, but nothing was stolen. Upton: Thieves broke into a property in Sea View Road between 3.30pm and 4.30pm on Tuesday, May 3. A statement on the Purbeck Police Facebook page said: "There can be few events in life more upsetting than discovering that you have been burgled, that someone has entered your property, rummaged through your belongings and stolen your property. "Imagine now that this had happened only a few days after your wife or husband had passed away, unfortunately this is what happened in Upton." Anyone who saw anything suspicious is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 55160068235.
