A SHOP worker was injured in an attempted robbery in Mudeford at the weekend.
Dorset Police were called at 8.55pm on Saturday after two men entered the Premier convenience store in Jellicoe Drive, threatened staff and demanded money.
The men were refused the cash and then fled the scene, but not before the store worker was reportedly stabbed in the hand.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: “When they did not manage to take any money they ran off. During the incident one member of staff sustained an injury to the hand.”
She said she was unable to reveal whether the men were armed. The NPAS police helicopter assisted in a search of the area.
A 24-year-old Christchurch man and a 21-year-old man of no fixed abode have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and released on bail.
