POLICE are hunting for thieves who made off with hundreds of pounds worth of champagne.
The incident occurred at around 11.50am on Monday, October 12, at the Waitrose store in Chantry Fields, Gillingham. A man and a woman entered the store, filled up a trolley with around six bottles of champagne and left without making an attempt to pay.
Detectives are appealing to the public to help identify two people they would like to speak to in connection with the theft.
Police Constable Matt Weldon, of North Dorset police, said: "I am now able to release CCTV images of two people I would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
"Anyone who can help identify either of the two people pictured should contact me on 101.
"All calls will be treated in strict confidence."
