Police want to find a person they say may have been "almost hit" by a silver Volkswagen Polo that failed to stop.
Officers say they have had a report that around 3pm on October 15, a silver Volkswagen Polo was being driven through Gussage St Michael when it almost hit a pedestrian and that the vehicle did not stop but headed toward the A354.
Police Sergeant Nick Lee, of East Dorset’s Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I am appealing to the pedestrian who was allegedly almost hit by the vehicle to contact me urgently so we can establish exactly what happened.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who saw the Polo, which I am releasing an image of, being driven on Thursday 15 October in Gussage St Michael and the surrounding area.
“All calls will be treated in strict confidence.”
A 23-year-old Poole man, a 25-year-old Poole man and a 22-year-old Bournemouth man have been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, driving a motor vehicle dangerously and daytime trespass in pursuit of game poaching. All three men have been released on bail until the beginning of November 2015.
