TEENAGE robbers stole a mobile phone from a 16-year-old boy before punching him and grabbing his bag, said police.

Detectives have now released CCTV images in a bid to track down the offenders.

The frightening incident took place at 6.10pm on Saturday July 18 as the victim waited at a bus stop near the junction of Ashley Road and Windham Road in Boscombe.

Police said the offenders approached the boy, took his phone, then returned to punch him and steal his bag. They fled with teh bag, which contained his wallet and clothing.

The young victim suffered a cut lip and bruised cheek and was taken to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital for treatment.

Detective Constable Matt Manners, of Bournemouth CID, said: "I am urging the two boys in the CCTV image to contact me as I believe they can help with my enquiries.

"I am also appealing to anyone who recognises them or who witnessed the incident to call Dorset Police."

No arrests have been made.
