POLICE are appealing for help to trace a flasher who approached a woman as she walked her dog in Bournemouth.

The offender bent down to see the dog and exposed himself to the victim, a local woman in her 50s, at the same time.

The incident took place in Deanscroft Road, Redhill at around 1.30pm on Tuesday May 5.

When the woman challenged the offender, he walked away and got into a white van parked nearby, which had two sets of ladders on the roof.

The offender is described as white, aged between 20 and 30, five feet eight inches tall and of large build. He had short, well-kept brown hair and was wearing a white round neck T-shirt, a dark thin waist-length jacket and grey cotton tracksuit bottoms.

Police Constable Grant Hancox, of Bournemouth police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who recognises the description of the offender or the van to please get in contact with Dorset Police on 101.

“All calls will be treated in strict confidence.”
