POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a thief stole money from a charity box at Poole Lighthouse.
The offender broke into the theatre and entertainment centre at around 3.50am on Saturday, March 14, and took the contents of what police described as "a large acrylic donations box" in the lobby area.
The suspect was described as around six feet tall, wearing a black hooded top, jeans and a black beanie hat and blue gloves.
Dorset Police are calling for anyone who may have seen someone behaving suspiciously near the Lighthouse in the early hours of Saturday morning to get in touch.
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 14:91. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
