DETECTIVES are renewing their appeal for witnesses following arson attacks in Boscombe – with new CCTV footage and images of the suspect being released.

As reported in the Daily Echo, at 2.13am on Thursday, February 19, police were called to reports of a wheelie bin being set alight inside a wooden shed in Boscombe Spa Road.

Around 20 minutes later, two more bins were set alight in Manor Road and at 4am a fourth bin was set alight in a car park off Wharncliffe Road.

Detective Sergeant Dave Colomb, of Bournemouth CID, said: “Thankfully no one was injured in any of these incidents and the fires did not spread to nearby homes.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed these incidents or recognises the suspect in the CCTV footage and images, by the clothing or his characteristics, to please call me.

“All calls will be treated in strict confidence.”

No arrests have been made.
