POLICE have appealed for help to identify a suspected shoplifter.
They have released CCTV images in the hope members of the public will help them solve the crime.
A man walked into Waitrose on Rowlands Hill at 6.25pm on Wednesday December 3 and placed a large number of meat products in his bag before leaving.
He made no attempt to pay and PC Adam Aggas of Ferndown police said: “I am now in a position to release a CCTV image of the suspect.
“I am appealing to anyone who recognises him to call Dorset Police, in confidence, as soon as possible.”
No arrests have been made.
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 18:392. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
