A MAN has been charged with burglary after thousands of pounds' worth of jewellery was taken from a shop in Bournemouth town centre.

Callum Knox, 26, from Southampton, has been charged in connection with the incident, which took place at Pandora in Old Christchurch Road and was reported to police at 4.30am on Tuesday, April 8.

He is due to appear at Bournemouth Magistrates Court on Monday, April 14.

Detective Sergeant Mark Jenkins confirmed that an arrest was made in the early hours of this morning.

Store manager Sarah Hayes said after the raid that a ‘significant amount’ of jewellery, mainly consisting of the brand’s iconic bracelets and charms, had been stolen. However the store was able to re-open yesterday lunchtime.

She said “We have been very busy getting the store back together again.
