I mentioned in my last blog that I was going to volunteer to help out at the Southampton Beer Festival. The festival was held at the Guildhall in Southampton and it being my personal local festival. I did three of the sessions. Friday Evening and both sessions on the Saturday.
In my blogs I have mentioned beer festivals quite a lot. I love them. In a room with a large selection of beers and surrounded by people with the same fascination for the pint as I have. But what if you yearn for wide open scenery?
The Second Bournemouth Beer Festival was held at the BIC from 22-24 April 2010. I managed to get to the Saturday night session, I was even first in the queue.

With the Bournemouth Beer Festival fast approaching I thought I’d do a series of articles on the beers that appear on the provisional beer list for the event.
Bournemouth's getting its very own beer festival....
Salisbury is famed for its wonderful Cathedral. Its main buildings only took 38 years to complete, making it the fastest cathedral build in the United Kingdom and the only one to be built in one architectural style. It’s also home to the best preserved of the only four original copies of the Magna Carta.
The Dorchester Beerex is next Friday and Saturday at the Corn Exchange in Dorchester, and if you plan to attend then you must rush to get your tickets. At the time of writing there were only tickets left for Friday with both Saturday sessions being sold out.
