Come to the Common Open Day!

KINSON COMMON COMMUNITY OPEN DAY

POOLE LANE MEADOWS

SUNDAY AUGUST 16TH

11AM TO 5PM

We are in the process of arranging our event which promotes our very special nature reserve. This year will also be celebrating our 10th anniversary.

We already have over 40 exhibitors booked which include wildlife conservation and community groups but would welcome anyone who is interested in having a stall.

A PDSA fun dog show always proves very popular along with many children’s activities and guided walks.

We have Liberty's birds of prey and country crafts at this years event, plus of course the PDSA "Scrufts" dog show !

Country craft displays include, pole lathe, stick maker, woodturners, hurdle and basket maker

I thoroughly enjoyed this event last year. I took my camera and was delighted to return home with shots of a vintage fire-engine, a rescued baby hedgehog being dropper-fed and a dragonfly which I had not photographed before! All this in addition to the wonderful habitats and wildlife which are ever-present on the common. I shall be there!

East Dorset Bat Rescue and Rehabilitation proved very popular with the educational licenced bats on the stand at Kinson Common Open day. Congratulations to the Friend's Of Kinson Common for putting on such a great event for the local people of Kinson.
