BOURNEMOUTH Air Festival organisers have explained why the first ever dusk display started earlier than billed.
The programme on Thursday evening was due to kick off at 8.15pm, but many people arrived to find that the Red Devils parachute display team had arrived at the seafront at 8pm.
A spokesman said a last minute operational change was the reason.
"Because of the poor visibility the Red Devils had to give us short notice to say 'If we don't jump now, we don't jump at all'.
"These things are always subject to weather and availability - we'd rather they jump early than not at all."
