DEAFENING the sound of even the commentator’s voices, the Eurofighter Typhoon dramatically swept into action as the grand finale to today’s thrilling air events.
The thunderous sound of the jet’s engines was the star attraction today and despite the increasingly heavy rainfall everyone on the beach stopped to stare at the wonder overhead.
Creeping up unaware on the masses crowded on the beach, it’s sound cannot be heard from afar but took families and youngsters by surprise as it swept in front of them, demonstrating just why it is one of the main attractions at this year’s festival.
The fighter jet phenomenon followed the antics of the flexible wing-walkers, both of which braved the wind to pose in a variety of different positions, impressing the crowds with their agility.
With the Blades also streaming into action during the afternoon, rolling, spinning and performing amazing feats, the day can only be topped by the events scheduled for this weekend.
