It's the second day of the 2017 Bournemouth Air Festival today.

Whether you're a first time visitor or a veteran, here's our round-up of what's happening on day two of the annual event.

Highlights

The beach assault rehearsal takes place at 12.30pm with flying starting at 2pm. The Red Arrows are taking to the skies at 3.30pm, plus there are fireworks from Boscombe Pier tonight at 10pm.

Other entertainment

There will be family entertainment in the Lower Gardens from 6pm to 10pm with bird displays, face painting, fire shows, a plane making workshop and Alice in Wonderland characters.

At East Overcliff at 6.15pm, watch the Royal Marines Unarmed Combat, then from 6.30pm to 7pm, the HM RM Band Collingwood performs the Beat Retreat.

The Nick Ross Orchestra will be performing a free gig at Pier Approach at 8.15pm featuring Sam Merrick or head to the Immense Aerobar at Boscombe beach for Rio Carnival where entry costs £5.
