A UNIQUE bar based around a decommissioned aeroplane has landed on Boscombe beach as part of the 10th anniversary Bournemouth Air Festival.
Immense Air, billed as the UK’s first ever aerobar, was set to open yesterday.
The bar and restaurant is based around a decommissioned ATR-42 aeroplane and will remain on site, close to Boscombe Pier, in the run up to the air festival which is set to start at the end of the month.
“Immense Air is taking music, food and entertainment in Bournemouth to new heights,” says flight director Ben Dyas. “This is something completely new and we’re certain it will become one of the biggest attractions in the town.”
A number of tribute acts and DJ’s are set to perform at the aerobar, including Tania Alboni’s internationally acclaimed Amy Winehouse show; Michael Jackson tribute with Navi; and
Almost Olly, featuring Karl Lewis as Olly Murs.
Anyone with tickets for the cancelled Kings Park Olly Murs concert will be admitted free for Almost Olly, set for August 30.
