The Vulcan is set to appear at the Bournemouth Air Festival on Sunday, it has been confirmed.

The plane was originally only scheduled to appear at the festival on Saturday afternoon but will now be making a second appearance. It is scheduled to appear at 3.28pm. 

A statement posted on the Vulcan To The Sky Website tonight said: "We are delighted to announce that earlier today, event organisers at Bournemouth Air Festival booked XH558 for a second display over the resort.

"XH558 will now be due to depart Doncaster approx 3pm for a display slot about 4pm onwards.

"Exact timings are still to be confirmed, so please watch our Twitter and Facebook feeds or the XH558 App for more details from early in the afternoon."

The Vulcan XH558 is the world's last flying example and is kept in the air by the Vulcan to the Sky Trust.
