Spook-tacular Halloween night at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest
3:00pm Thursday 18th October 2012 in News
A HOST of spooky events are taking place during half term at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest.
Highlights include a Halloween night ride, aimed at children aged eight to 12, who are invited to dress up and ride through the forest using the supplied high-performance USE night light to see the way.
A hot drink of “dragon’s blood” is supplied at the end of the ride for all who survive the tortuous trail, which takes place on Tuesday October 30 from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.
Other events include Halloween Storytelling, an event aimed at children aged five to eight, on October 30 from 10.30am to 12pm, £4.50 per child.
A walking event aimed at the whole family, called Halloween Havoc, takes place from 10am to 12pm from October 30 to November 2, costing £1 per child.
Countryside Interpretation Ranger Katie Davies said: “This is a great chance for young people to experience night riding through the forest.
“We are hoping they may enjoy it so much that they will want to join our night riding club taking place in November.”
