READY FOR ACTION: Students of Big Little Theatre school
PAST students of a top acting and musical theatre school are to return to Bournemouth for a spectacular one-off show.
Encore will feature dozens of performers who have graduated from the Big Little Theatre School and gone on to have hugely successful careers.
Chris Piper, who has performed in the Take That Tour, Chicago and Fame and We Will Rock You and Wizard of Oz performer Ryan Gover are just two of more than 70 former students who have volunteered to take part in the fund raising concert next month.
Big Little is a not-for-profit organisation which is determined to give its current students the opportunity to take part in productions with professional technical support, despite the current economic climate Its Showtunes productions, held annually at the Pavilion in Bournemouth, are always eagerly awaited by students and audiences alike.
All money raised from the concert will go towards allowing current students to continue to perform their high-energy and dynamic productions.
It will be held at the De La Salle Theatre at St Peter’s School in St Catherine’s Road, Southbourne on Sunday, November 11 at 7pm and will feature songs from a wide variety of musical theatre shows.
“We have been completely overwhelmed with the response from past students, many of whom are busy performing and have taken time out of their schedules to support this wonderful concert,” said principal Michelle Guy.
“Lots of the students keep in touch after they leave and many say that their experiences at Big Little are gifts to be treasured wherever they go in life.”
Tickets are available by e-mailing info@biglittle.biz or calling the box office on 01202 434499.
