What will you do with your extra hour this month? Bake a cake, says Valentine Warner
TV chef Valentine Warner is urging everyone to use the extra hour when the clocks change this October to support Rainbow Trust’s The Big Hour Cake Sale.
Valentine, who was brought up in Dorset and found fame in 2008 with his BBC Two cookery programme What to Eat Now, hopes people will find time to rustle up some tasty treats for families in need.
“I wholeheartedly support Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity for the incredible work they do supporting families of sick children,” he said.
The Big Hour Cake Sale is Rainbow Trust’s biggest annual fundraising and awareness event and takes place between October 22-28.
Rainbow Trust’s family support workers enable the gift of time – whether it is looking after siblings so that parents can spend vital extra hours with a frightened and poorly child in hospital or taking care of the household chores so mum and dad can use their time spending precious moments together as a family.

The clocks shouldn't be changing at all.
If it wasn't for that complete idiot of an MP Chris Chope, the daylight saving bill would have had a chance of coming to fruition. A bill that was supported by millions of people across the nation as well as tourism chiefs, health & safety organisations and big business. Lighter evenings would have benefited everyone but that complete buffoon Chope thought he knew better, standing up in Parliament and waffling on about nothing to deny the bill a vote.
You are a disgrace Chope & I hope you lose your seat at the next election.
By the way how do you save day light in a jar !!!
