A WIDE range of jobseekers attended yesterday’s Daily Echo Jobsfair in Bournemouth.
The latest event, held at the Premier Inn at Westover Road, saw more than 30 companies looking to fill vacancies.
Sponsored again by Bournemouth-based health insurance firm Health-on-Line, the day also saw Best Training holding workshops on subjects such as interview skills and CV writing.
Fiona Carter, who works in marketing at Health-on-Line, said: “It raises our coverage, the fair is incredible for that. We get lots of good candidates so it’s really successful for us and it’s great to support a local event.”
The fair was bustling throughout the day with people looking for jobs, information and advice.
Claire Newman, recruitment manager at the Daily Echo, said: “It’s gone really well; it’s busier on the opening than previous Jobsfairs.
“It’s a really good mix of people of all ages and skill sets.
“It’s a very good turnout and we’re really impressed with the exhibitors and quality of candidates.”
Danielle Smith, recruitment consultant at Rubicon People, added: “It’s really good; there’s a big variety of people and what they’re looking for.
“There are a variety of ages and skills. We do general recruitment so this is ideal for us.”
