Bournemouth Libraries seek memories of Max Bygraves

BOURNEMOUTH Libraries are looking to add to their collection of memories of the entertainer Max Bygraves.

The showbiz star died in his sleep on Saturday September 1 at his home in Australia at the age of 89 after emigrating there with his wife, Blossom.

However, before his move he lived in Alum Chine for around 30 years and enjoyed a career of comedy, singing, TV and theatre performances and was well-known in Bournemouth and Poole by locals.

Bournemouth Libraries are asking for anyone who would like to share a memory of Max, to visit their local library in Bournemouth, speak to Peter Kazmierczak at the library in the Triangle, or email Heritage@ bournemouth libraries.org.uk

Average golfer who had to speak loudly when he had Eric Sykes as a partner. Most off putting for the putting.
