OPEN: The Mayor of Ferndown, Cllr Terry Cordery opens Raffles Coffee Bar
IT’S always been the heart of Ferndown’s Barrington Centre but now Raffles Coffee House and Restaurant has finally had the facelift it deserves, complete with a new food counter, flooring, decor and wi-fi.
The newly refurbished eatery was jointly opened by Mayor of Ferndown Terry Cordery and Lucy Clark, chairman of East Dorset District council, at a special ceremony on Friday.
They are both hoping that Raffles will be able to build on its popularity and help draw even more visitors to the Barrington Centre and theatre, which was opened by Princess Margaret in 1986.
Since that time the centre has provided a community base for a number of activities, including Pilates, the National Trust, Ferndown Camera club, the U3A, Yoga and Zumba classes.
