Warning issued over sex offender, 62

POLICE are hunting a sex offender from Dover who is going around the country and who has visited Bournemouth.
Kent Police said John Archer Barnett, 62, also known as John Owen, was last seen by his landlord on April 14 and is believed to be travelling the UK.
Barnett was convicted in 2003 of an indecent assault on an eight year old boy and was jailed for four years.
Police said Barnett has been to London, Blackpool, Brighton, Scarborough, Dartford and Bournemouth but his current whereabouts are unknown.
He is considered a risk to children and may befriend a family in order to offend.
He is about 5ft 8ins tall with a ‘beer belly’, grey receding hair and a beard, eagle tattoos on both arms and may be wearing a hearing aid. He is a smoker and drinks whisky. He also has an eczema type skin condition which is visible on both forearms and hands. A few years ago he suffered a stroke and one side of his face droops very slightly.
