Twins, triplets and quads enjoy fun day

SIBLINGS: Twins Maia, left, and Giorgia Cuccia, aged 7, from Bournemouth with mum Anna
DOZENS of twins descended on Moors Valley Country Park yesterday for a huge meet-up.
Organised by the Bournemouth and District Twinclub, the Mega Multiples Meet Up saw same-aged siblings come from across the area – as far as Gosport – to have a day of fun.
Twins, triplets and quads and their families enjoyed picnics, face painting, a magician, football skills and more.
There was also a toddle around the lake.
The day was a fundraiser for the Twins and Multiple Births Association.
Organiser Anna Cuccia from the Bournemouth club, said: “A lot of it’s been virtually organised using social networking – some of the people that run the other clubs I’ve never met until today.
“We have more than 120 sets of twins here. It’s been fantastic.”
Anna, herself a mum of twins Giorgia and Maia, seven, added: “The kids enjoy being able to run around and have the chance to play.”
Leiann and Matt Spaulding, from Poole, were there with two-year-old triplets Annabelle, Sienna and Amelia.
Leianne said: “We haven’t been to one like this before. It’s good and a great location.
“It’s good to get together to see other people in the same position and meet them.”
Nickie Butters, from Highcliffe, was at the day with Charlie and Sophie, seven.
She said: “It’s great that we can still have big meets like this and I still keep in touch with people who have the same age children as mine.”
