TIME is running out if you want to vote for this year’s Bournemouth Tourism Awards and toast the efforts of those involved in the success of the town’s vital tourism industry.

Now in its seventh year, the glittering awards ceremony will be hosted by the O2 Academy in Boscombe on Thursday, November 22.

New for this year will be the Daily Echo People’s Choice Award – a unique opportunity for local businesses, their customers and Daily Echo readers to get involved.

The award is open to local tourism businesses including hotels, guest houses, B&Bs, restaurants, attractions, cafes, nightclubs, bars and shops as well as local tourism service providers, sightseeing and coach operators.

To nominate your business email amy.habgood@ bournemouth.gov.uk or phone 01202 451751.

Once you’ve received your nomination pack from Bournemouth Tourism it’s down to you to get your customers to vote for you in the first round.

They can visit bournemouth. co.uk/business/tourism-awards-2012 or look out for the posters displayed in windows of participating establishments.

Those who vote for their favourite tourism business in the Echo’s People’s Choice Award will be entered into a free prize draw.

The winners will receive a complimentary two-night stay, inclusive of breakfast, at the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott or Portsmouth Marriott Hotel.

The closing date to nominate your business is Friday, August 24 and the closing date for customer votes is Monday, September 3.

The top five nominations will be published in the Daily Echo and readers will be invited to vote for the overall winner who will be announced at the Bournemouth Tourism Awards ceremony.
