TALENTED musicians took part in a charity drum-a-thon for charity in Bournemouth on Saturday.
Six drummers from the age of nine to 59 gathered at Winton Recreation Ground for the annual event, which raised money for Macmillan Caring Locally and the breast cancer department at Poole Hospital .
It was organised by local teacher Joe Musker.
He said: “It was my son James’s idea. It’s his 18th birthday today and when I asked him what he wanted to do, he said this.
“It’s not a bad way to spend your birthday and he wanted to do something a bit different plus we’re raising money for two great causes. Everyone has been touched by cancer in one way or another so it’s something that means a lot to people.
“People have been very supportive.”
The group drummed continuously from noon until 3.30pm.
