Cherries player denies sexual assault

A CHERRIES player has denied sexual assault.

AFC Bournemouth player Steve Cook, 21, who lives in Poole, and three former teammates from Brighton and Hove Albion have pleaded not guilty to charges of sexual assault on a woman and voyeurism by recording her without permission.

Cook, Anton Rodgers, 19, now of Tilehurst, Reading, Lewis Dunk, 20, of Brighton, George Barker, 20, now of Portsmouth, stand accused following an incident at the Jury’s Inn hotel, in Brighton, last July.

A judge at Hove Crown Court granted the four defendants bail until a three-week trial starting on January 21.
