PEOPLE across the county will be honoured in the first ever Dorset Hall of Fame.

The initiative, launched by radio station Heart 102.3 with Wimborne-based Teachers Building Society, will culminate in an awards ceremony at Bournemouth’s Pavilion ballroom on Thursday October 18.

The event will be hosted by Heart presenter Toby Anstis alongside Heart Breakfast favourites JK and Lucy.

From September, people can nominate friends, family members and work colleagues who put Dorset at the heart of all they do. Anyone can be nominated, whether they have coached a sports team for many years or have put Dorset on the map locally, nationally or globally.

A panel from Heart 102.3 and Teachers Building Society will chose five winners.

Heart 102.3 presenter Toby Anstis said: “The Dorset Hall of Fame is a fantastic opportunity for us to recognise and thank everyday people who work incredibly hard to make Dorset the wonderful county it is.”
