    Can't see what the father's accent has to do with anything. I think you'll find that a great many Midlanders whose words, however inflected, are not evil snides.

    This bunch, however, by their words and actions alone sound to be a thoroughly unpleasant, cold and calculating family - especially the the murderer and mother. The father sounds to be caught up in the mess, with, it seems, little backbone in him to make him do the right thing."

THESE are the covert recordings that helped convince a jury that Elliot Turner did murder Emily Longley and his parents did try to cover it up.

Taken by police investigating the aspiring model's death at the Turners’ home in Queenswood Avenue in Bournemouth, they feature Leigh Turner discussing how his son strangled Emily and Turner himself telling his parents he "just went nuts".
