A POOLE charity is urgently appealing for stock for its 10 shops.
Thieves stole more than £1,000 of donated goods from branches of Lewis-Manning Hospice at the end of last year, and fundraisers say donations have dropped.
The 20-year-old charity gets around a third of its income from four shops in Poole and others in Westbourne, Wimborne, Winton, Ferndown and Blandford.
Retail Manager Rob Matthews said: “Our shops are mainly staffed by volunteers, and we appreciate how generous our regular supporters have been when donating items for us to sell, but we have seen a recent decline in high quality items being sent to us.”
“We are now appealing for even more people to donate their ‘once-loved’ items, so we can be sure that we find a good home for them and that the money is put back into caring for the community.”
Fundraisers are looking for donations of clothing, DVDs, electrical items and furniture.
