Dolphin centre facelift: Residents' views

JUDY Knight JUDY Knight

JUDY Knight, aged 68, of Bournemouth – who regularly shops in Poole – said: “I do like the pale colours a lot. The area could do with being cleaned up, the pavement looks terrible at the moment.”

RETIRED electrician Richard Benham, aged 62, from Corfe Mullen, said: “I’ve only had a quick chance to look at these plans but they look quite good. It is nice that someone is doing something to spruce up the area.”

VALARIE Chick, from Poole, said: “It does look cleaner and more open. I like the extra seating as there are just not enough places to sit down at the moment.

“I look forward to seeing what it looks like for real.”

Now try and curb the yobs hanging around, especially in the bus station. It can be quite daunting to the elderly.T he shops could also ask their staff to be a bit more helpful and pleasant.

Staff are very friendly and helpful maning our splendid shopping mall

Enjoy, and smell the Coffee

Poole is a beautiful place and I am a very grateful resident of this great Borough

Not just the elderly, there are plenty of teenagers who won't go to the bus station and people like me who hate having to go through it for work. As I work in a shop it is really depressing to realise that however hard we try to attract customers and look after them, having to go through that station is a major turn off to coming into Poole shopping. The retired population of Poole with bus passes could make so much more use of it is the council, who own it, would employ on site security to stop the smoking and drinking instead of just putting up signs and cameras.
