FUNDRAISERS across Dorset donned spots and dots yesterday to raise money for Children in Need.

Events included fancy dress, bake sales, pools of gunge and putting bosses in the stocks, where Pudsey appeared all over the county as children, adults, clubs and organisations pulled together to celebrate the charity’s annual appeal.

Here is just some of the fun that people were getting up to: l Children from Bournemouth Day Nursery wore fancy dress and played games and Pudsey-related activities l Employees from various. Christchurch businesses got their own back on their boss as they paid a fee to throw wet sponges at them at Ye Olde George Inn, Castle Street.

l Students from Capital School of English in Winton spent the whole day raffling prizes and playing games.

l ASDA Bournemouth staff had a multitude of events including an employee sat in a pool of gunge, cake stalls, raffle and a visit from Pudsey himself.

l Cranborne First School held a pyjama day which raised £272.19 from donations, face painting and raffled Pudsey bears.

l Bournemouth pensioner, David Snoulton, 73, dressed up as Noddy and arrived in a Noddy-style car to the Belvedere Hotel, Bournemouth to have his head, beard and eyebrows shaved, as well as his legs waxed in aid of the good cause.

l Staff and children at Little Hen’s nursery in Wallisdown, dressed up as Disney characters and got to paint spots on one willing member of staff.

l Pupils from St Joseph’s School in Christchurch made a Pudsey bear in breakfast and after-school clubs.

l Hamworthy Middle School pupils dressed up in spots and dots and made a large Pudsey bear out of donated coins.

l Children at Forres Sandle Manor School Pre-prep in Fordingbridge decorated cakes and made cookies to sell on their stall, with the help of Matt White, Head Chef at the school.

l Lady St. Mary First School in Wareham had children dressed in spots and managed to raise more than £75 l Spotty clothes were worn by children at Park School in Queen’s Park.

l Children at Canford Heath First School raised more than £370 by wearing spots to school.

l Bournemouth-based freerunning group, Pure Precision, are performing in Bournemouth gardens today between 1 – 4pm.

l ASDA Poole holds their fun day today which includes face painting, bouncy castles and rodeo bulls.
