COME on in, the water’s lovely!

Temperatures rose on Bournemouth beach as these people stripped off and lathered up to break the world record for the largest group shower.

A whopping 152 people huddled together under a specially built giant six-metre high shower to cool off, watched by Guinness World Records officials.

The cheeky feat on Saturday morning beats the two-year-old record set by 145 people in Illinois, America.

DJs took to the decks to create a party atmosphere for the showering masses.

Guinness World Record adjudicator Anna Orford said: “The people of Bournemouth have to be applauded for getting into the spirit of the day and taking a shower together.

“Their reward is a new Guinness World Record for the most people showering simultaneously at the same venue. Congratulations to everyone.”

The eye-catching stunt was organised by Lynx shower gel, who sent a group of Lynx models to help make this scorching sight.

Word about the challenge was sent out over Facebook and Twitter. It took a day to put the shower up.

An organiser, Ashleigh Kane, said: “We were on the beach from 9am getting people involved, and models were wandering up and down, catching people’s eyes. The weather was surprisingly nice, and the sun came out for us. It was a fantastic day.”
