THE mother of Oscar winning actor Christian Bale has spoken of her heartache after revealing how they have not spoken for three years.

Jenny Bale, 63, who lives in Bournemouth, sent an early morning email to her newly crowned Best Supporting Actor son after watching his success 5,000 miles away in Los Angeles. But she is still waiting for a response.

The counsellor and former circus clown claims that since an argument at London’s Dorchester Hotel, birthday and Christmas cards and other emails have also gone unacknowledged by her superstar son, a former Bournemouth School pupil.

She said: “I hope this Oscar can bring us together. The family is so pleased for him.

"This Oscar is well-deserved. I saw other celebrities there with their mothers and got upset. I would have loved to have been by his side.

"I’d love Christian to walk through the door right now. I’d give him a big hug and a kiss and we could forget about the last three years,” she told a national newspaper.

The family feud was sparked on the premiere night of Christian’s smash Batman movie The Dark Knight in July 2008.

Jenny claims he was aggressive and threw her and his sister Sharon out of his suite. On the drive home, Sharon stopped at Ringwood police station to report the incident.

Christian was arrested and an assault charge was later dropped. He has since severed all family ties. Jenny said: “If I had done something wrong I would apologise but I really don’t know why it’s all come to this.

“It’s a shame we have wasted so much time.

“I’d love my son back.”

Bale’s Oscar success has been welcomed by former school pals.

Brian Baker, whose son Simon was Christian’s best friend at Bournemouth School, said: “We have fond memories of his sleepovers at our home in Ensbury Park and their games of Dungeons and Dragons with two other school pals.

“When Simon married Christian was his best man.

“We have followed his career with much interest over the years and we’re glad he won the Oscar.”
