Sandpolo will be back at Sandbanks with beach polo this summer.
Six top class polo teams will compete for the British Beach Polo Championships at Poole’s premier beach on July 8 and 9.
The sun, fun, sand and polo will again be complemented by top beach volleyball competition and fun evening parties.
“Building on the success of the last three years it promises to be another phenomenal event, bringing with it widespread sporting, business and social acclaim,” said Sandpolo’s Johnny Wheeler.
Polo teams will compete for the title, held by the Moore Capital Polo Team.
The formidable England Team has also been challenged by Argentina, Australia and the USA in the two game international that is the finale of each day’s play. The chosen challenger will be announced in April.
Jack Kidd, captain of the England Beach Polo Team said: “The British beach polo is now one of the most coveted polo events in the world.
“It attracts the finest players and an incredible audience. Roll on 2011.”
In volleyball, top UK players will again lock horns in the men’s and mixed titles. The Oakley Professional Beach Volleyball will involve Team Bath athletes from GB and England, competing in the arena each afternoon.
The exciting 4x4 versus polo pony charity race will aim again to raise money and awareness for charities, The Heaton Ellis Trust and Julia’s House.
Have-a-go polo and the popular retail village will also be features of the two-day event. Tickets are now on sale
