BOURNEMOUTH'S upmarket Ink Bar has re-opened.

The Ink Bar on Richmond Hill was spruced up over the weekend but largely looks the same.

Managing director Andy Price said: “It has always served the local business community and it has proved popular in its existing format. It’s really pleasing to be able to reopen it.

“The new opening times are from 4pm to midnight, to cater for the after work market, but we won’t be opening for lunch as of yet.”

The Ink Bar and the associated Print Room restaurant next door closed at the start of August amid financial problems.

Mr Price said he understood all deposits had been returned to people who booked before closure, adding: “Anybody that had vouchers, we will look after them when it reopens.”

Investor Matt Fleming had said the businesses were unable to meet their debts during the quiet summer months and the investors had to write off more than £1 million before setting up a new company and buying out the business.
