Burning bush causes delays at Great Dorset Steam Fair

MOTORISTS faced lengthy delays around the Dorset Steam Fair site today after a fire broke out in a neighbouring field.

Three fire engines raced to the scene just after 2pm.

Police were forced to close the busy A354 near Tarrant Hinton, while Dorset Fire and Rescue Service tackled the blaze.

The road has now re-opened.

i'm not sure if it was a bush on fire, we have just left the site, because there is no traffic management on site, there is next to no security and the toilets are by far the most un hygenic ive ever seen there, when ive spoken to the site management , quote, "its because there are too many people here", quite frankly its a bit scarey. no loo paper , noe water, no soap , no water, no hand wash, no security staff ( sorry , they are on the gates oming in) on site traffic control my guess is as good as the calcutta traffic management, and this was on midday friday!. going back next week to pick up belongings after getting over it , and with a tummy full of anti diaohrials mediation. sad that mr oliver senior wasnt there to tell them all to sort it out...
