DETECTIVES investigating a sexual assault in Bournemouth have released an e-fit image of a man they wish to speak to.
The man is sought in connection with an attack on a 36-year-old woman in the early hours of Saturday, August 7.
The woman was walking home in the Charminster Road and Iddesleigh Road area when she was approached by a man who began talking to her.
After following the woman into Grafton Road, the man grabbed and sexually assaulted her.
Detective Constable Steve Griffin, of the Bournemouth and Poole Public Protection Unit, said: “I understand that the man was friendly to begin with and then became more explicit.
“I am releasing an e-fit image of a man that I am keen to speak to.
“The man depicted in the image is described as Arabic looking of a medium build with a bald or shaven head and an unshaven face.
“He speaks in broken English and is believed to be local.
“I would encourage this man – or anyone who knows him – to contact me as soon as possible.”
The incident took place between 1.30am and 1.45am. The man then walked back into Charminster Road, visiting the Premier Shop and Golden Supermarket before walking down Stewart Road.
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 01202 222222 or the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111, where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
