A motorist killed in a collision involving a bus in Shillingstone, North Dorset on Wednesday has been named.
Jonathan Clarke, 43, from the Sturminster Newton area, was killed when his Ford Fiesta was involved in a collision with a single-decker bus on a section of the A357 known locally as Gain’s Cross.
The 368 Blandford to Yeovil bus had been travelling in a southerly direction when the collision occurred at about 3.20pm.
Paramedics with the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance flew the female bus driver to Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester, where she was treated for cuts, bruises, and shock.
An inquest into Mr Clarke’s death was opened by West Dorset Coroner’s Office on Friday.
