IT WAS carnival time in Lytchett Matravers on Saturday as the annual procession paraded through the Purbeck village.
The usual inventive array of floats and displays were pulled together for the party.
Groups from the village who took to the streets included the Guides, Brownies and Rainbows, the pre-school and primary school, and the twinning association.
Later there were displays of karate and breakdancing on Lytchett recreation ground.
