THIS is an image of the man responsible for a “degrading and nasty” sexual assault carried out on a busy dance floor in Bournemouth.

The traumatised victim has helped police compile this e-fit of the offender and officers are keen to hear from anyone who thinks they recognise him.

He was one of a group of men who surrounded the 18-year-old Bournemouth woman in the basement of Bliss in St Peter’s Road in the early hours of Wednesday March 3, as reported by the Daily Echo.

He was one of two men to assault the teenager, who was restrained as she danced alone between 1am and just after 2.30am.

“The victim screamed during the incident and there is no doubt that other members of the public who were on the crowded dance floor that night will have seen what happened to her,” said DC Alan Marks of the Bournemouth and Poole Public Protection Unit.

“I understand that while the assault was taking place a group of at least four black or Asian men stood around the girl and her two attackers, and I believe the attackers were part of this group.”

DC Marks said the man in the e-fit is described as Asian, possibly of Bangladeshi origin.

“I would encourage anyone who witnessed this degrading sexual assault, or anyone who has any information relating to the incident, to contact me urgently,” added DC Marks.
