DETECTIVES are appealing for help from a Good Samaritan who tried to foil an early morning robbery in Bournemouth on Saturday, March 6.
The man intervened after witnessing the victim being punched to the ground and kicked to his head and body at Wootton Gardens.
His attacker made off with an undisclosed sum of cash and his mobile phone.
DC Shanena Stewart said: “I’m very keen to hear from a man who tried to stop the robbery and who was chased by the offender towards Old Christchurch Road.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who has any information about the robbery or the identity of the man responsible.”
The man is white, 18 to 25 years old, 5ft 10in tall with a stocky build and short spiky cropped hair.
He was wearing a blue fitted T-shirt and blue jeans.
